InterGen is the UK’s largest independent gas fired power producer, with three plants in the UK that provide 6% of the country’s average demand. Its gas-fired power plants are among the cleanest and most technologically advanced in the world.

Over the past ten years of Coryton’s operations, InterGen has developed a good understanding of the local area and a positive working relationship with the local community. If consent for the Gateway Energy Centre is granted, InterGen will hope to play an even more active role in the community and ensure that the project is beneficial for the region.

Besides Coryton, InterGen’s other UK plants are Rocksavage in Cheshire and Spalding in Lincolnshire.

InterGen, formed in 1995, is a global power generation company with 12 power plants representing an ownership of 6,254 MW of generation capacity. InterGen’s plants are located in the UK, the Netherlands, Mexico, the Philippines and Australia.
